Sad news is one thing I hate to share, especially when it has to do with anything relating to me.
Its just the start of my career and this is one thing no friend of mine will wish for me, but as it is said that God knows best I would like to pass on information that broke my heart when it got to me.

Sho Off UK, the organisers of Meet Bimbi first informed me of the rapid change of venue due to Health and Safety reasons before later sending me the message below...

...At short notice, this is certainly heartbreaking, but on behalf of Sho Off UK I would like to sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused to fans, friends, press and supporting artists.

I sincerely do wish I understood what they meant by the 'Sho Off Silver Package', but I do know they are a hard working, young and vibrant group of talented people. They have organised successful events in the past but its just unfortunate that this had to happen in mine.

I will continue to bring you all good music and entertainment and I'll make sure this never happens again.

Ok... I will be quick. Diss tracks have been here for a while. They have made and broke artists. Mostly among rappers, names like Rugged man and Eedris Abdulkareem can tell the effect diss tracks can have on we artist's careers.
Eventually diss tracks will come and go, and still return to put the industry in check.

As an artist, it will be suicidal to be caught in between a diss track that doesn't concern me but fortunately my crew had the opportunity to have been present to get this on tape. It was recorded during our interview at Play Vybz radio on Africa's Finest show and was out even before I knew it.

Well, enjoy it...

The Olympics have come and gone and even though I live right in the middle of it I blogged nothing at all about it. Apart form the crowded trains, hot chics from different part of the world, intimidating men with six and a half packs, I did experience a little part of it but the reason for this post which you will see in a while gave me no time at all to put fingers on keys.

The pillow-like basketball arena on the Olympic Park created one of the best atmospheres for the Games. Inevitably, the focus was on USA throughout but there will be inevitable questions about the competitiveness of some of the games in the early group stages, as demonstrated by the fact that the USA topped group A with a points difference of +191 while Nigeria finished fifth with a points difference of -118.
And please I won't get started on their game against each other, as Naija still represented with D'banj's Oliver Twist been played while the very intense match went on. That was satisfying :)

Yes, I eventually had time and resources to go watch one of the games live but to disappoint everyone who knows how gracious it is to watch an Olympic game, I slept off in the middle of the gymnastic game. Sorry lol.
Now back to the reason for this post. One of the reason why I have had no time for you in weeks... Music, music, music. From studio boots to impromptu live stage shows and then to various radio interviews.
Below is a recent interview anchored by the very fabulous WiseTola with DJ Vinnie V on the mix. I was also joined by the very promising Kida Kudz And Yemi Rush.

Enjoy...

Our Lifes and Our friends...

Posted by MeetBimbi On

Life is a race we must all run. Not just to run swiftly, but to complete. Sometimes, we feel like it is more difficult to catch up with the ones that are ahead, knowing deep down inside that it doesn't matter whoever is ahead or behind. The most important thing is to keeping running.

A recent reunion with a long lost friend after almost ten years reminded me about the saying we all are tired of hearing (ten friends don't Cruz around for ten years). After our brief conversation I looked into the mirror and said this words to myself... "I won't stop, I can't stop and I should never stop". Trust me guyz, you don't wanna be left behind. It's a pain that cannot be lived with but yet felt forever.

I feel the road to success is actually a short road, as one of my mentors constantly says "life's race is very selfish, harsh on who ever desires to start running the race, tough, slow and and feels almost impossible for those who keep at it". He never knew how he was gonna make it but was certain he was going to. Undoubtedly, he's lifestyle and business operations would make anyone a believer.

I know this probably has nothing to do with music today and might not be for my thousands of followers. It probably might be for just one reader, maybe you! All I am saying is that "doing nothing is suicidal". Life's challenges will never go away, it only waits patiently ahead. Difficulty is an excuse the future never accepts, as we all plan towards success. Let's all keep hoping we see it.

Before you go, catch up with Scoopnaija's review on O.Y.O. and a short freestyle with some of my friends below. Make dem no vex o!

Enjoy....
